Delete a network channel to stop cross-cluster data access between a source cluster and a destination cluster in PolarDB for PostgreSQL.

When to delete a network channel

Delete a network channel in the following situations:

  • A cross-cluster data sync task is complete and the connection is no longer needed.

  • You are decommissioning the source or destination cluster.

Important

After you delete a network channel, the source cluster can no longer access data in the destination cluster through this channel. Make sure that no active queries or applications depend on the channel before you proceed.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure that you have:

  • Confirmed that no active queries or applications are using the network channel

  • Verified that the source cluster no longer requires access to the destination cluster over this channel

Delete a network channel

  1. Log on to the PolarDB console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Clusters.

  3. In the upper-left corner, select the region where the cluster is deployed.

  4. Find the cluster and click its ID.

  5. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Settings and Management > Databases.

  6. On the Databases page, click the Network Channels tab.

  7. Find the network channel to delete and click Delete in the Actions column.

  8. In the Delete Network Channel message, click OK.
