Release an instance

Prerequisites

• Before you release an instance, make sure that all databases on the instance are deleted.

  Warning

  After a PolarDB-X instance is released, its cross-region backups are retained for the duration of the retention period. You can restore data from these backups as needed, if a new instance meets the prerequisites for cross-region recovery If no cross-region backups are available, all data of the instance is cleared. Proceed with caution when releasing an instance.

• Only pay-as-you-go instances can be released.

Procedure

1. Log on to the PolarDB-X console.

2. In the top navigation bar, select the region where the instance is deployed.

3. On the Instances page, click the PolarDB-X 2.0 tab.

4. Find the instance that you want to manage, and click the icon in the Actions column, and then click Release.

   Warning

   After an instance is released, it cannot be restored. Exercise caution when you release an instance.

5. In the message that appears, click OK.
