You can manually release Pay-As-You-Go (post-paid) instances as needed.
Precautions
- You cannot manually release Subscription (pre-paid) instances. They are automatically released upon expiration.
- You can only release instances in the Running state. After you release an instance, you cannot recover its data. Proceed with caution.
- PolarDB-X 1.0Releasing an instance does not delete data from its PolarDB-X 1.0 storage resources. However, a released instance cannot be recovered. Proceed with caution.
Procedure

Log on to the PolarDB-X 1.0 console.

In the top navigation bar, select the region where the instance is deployed.

In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances.

Find the instance and click the instance ID to go to the Basic Information page.
- In the Common Actions section, click Release Instance.
- In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
