ST_setPcid

Reassigns a pcpatch object to a new point cloud schema and returns the updated pcpatch.
Syntax
pcpatch ST_setPcid(pcpatch pc, integer pcid, float8 def default 0.0);Parameters

pc | The pcpatch object to reassign. |
pcid | The ID of the target schema. The value must exist in the pointcloud_formats table. |
def | The fill value for attribute dimensions that exist in the new schema but not in the old schema. Default value: 0.0. |
Behavior
When the schema changes, ST_setPcid handles attribute dimension mismatches as follows:
Dimensions present in the new schema but absent in the old schema are added and set to
def.Dimensions present in the old schema but absent in the new schema are discarded.
Examples
Update all patches in the patches table to use schema ID 2, filling any new dimensions with 0.0:
update patches set pa=ST_setPcid(pa, 2, 0.0);
