Metrics Explorer

On the Metrics Explorer page of the Managed Service for Prometheus console, you can select a metric or write a PromQL query to view and verify your monitoring data.

Prerequisites

You must have Application Real-Time Monitoring Service (ARMS) activated. For more information, see Activate Application Real-Time Monitoring Service (ARMS).

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Prometheus Monitoring > Instance List, and then click the target instance's name.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Metric Management.

  4. On the Metrics Explorer tab, enter a PromQL query, and then click Execute Query. For more information about PromQL syntax, see the official Prometheus documentation.
