Alert event history

On the Events page, you can filter and view all your alert events.

Procedure

Log on to the Managed Service for Prometheus console. In the left navigation pane, choose Alert Management > Alert Event History.

Event list

The Events page displays the Event Name, Notification Policies, Creation time, Event Quantity, Event Status, Event Object, and Object Type for each alert event.

Click Send Test Events in the upper-right corner of the page. In the dialog box, set the Integration Name and Event Content to send a test alert event to the specified integration.

Filter alert events

Set the filter conditions and click Search to view the matching alert events.

Parameter

Description

Event Name

The name of the alert rule that triggered the event.

Integration Name

The name of the integration that received the event.

Event Status

The status of the alert event. The following three statuses are available:

  • Not Cleared: The alert event continues to fire.

  • Silence: During the configured auto-clear period, alert events that have the same name and severity as the initial event are assigned this status.

  • Cleared: The alert condition is no longer met and the event has stopped firing.

Event Object

The monitoring task name or cluster name.

Object Type

The type of the event object, such as a cluster or monitoring task.

Integration Type

The type of integration that received the event.

Event details

Click an event name to open the Event Details panel, which provides detailed information about the event.

In the Monitoring Data section of the panel, you can perform the following actions:

  • In the upper-right corner of the Monitoring Data section, select a time window extending 6, 12, or 24 hours before and after the event.

  • Drag your cursor across the chart to zoom in on a specific time period. Click Reset to restore the original view.
