Quick BI does not store the data you connect to. Security coverage applies to two distinct areas: customer data and metadata.

Customer data |
The data used for analysis in Quick BI |
Never written to disk—accessed only through live data source connections |
No associated data security risks |
|
Metadata |
Data objects created within Quick BI (descriptions of how data is processed and displayed, not the data itself) |
RDS, an industrial-grade relational database on the public cloud |
Minimal risk—no external access interfaces; secured and maintained by dedicated teams |
Customer data
Quick BI connects directly to your data sources and runs queries in real time. Customer data is never persisted to disk, so there are no associated data security risks.
Metadata
Metadata consists of data objects created within Quick BI. These objects describe how customer data is processed and displayed; they do not contain the underlying customer data itself.
Metadata is stored in RDS, an industrial-grade relational database on the public cloud. RDS has no external access interfaces, and dedicated teams maintain its security and stability. The data security risk is minimal.
