Canvas mode is a visual workspace for smart conversational analysis. You can move analysis results from dialogue mode to the canvas to arrange, combine, and present them freely. This document explains how to use Canvas mode.

Prerequisites

You have generated analysis results in dialogue mode.

Use cases

In AI Pro, conversations follow a question-and-answer format. This is efficient for getting quick answers, but can be cumbersome for in-depth analysis that requires many rounds of questions. Charts and results become scattered across a long Q&A thread, making it difficult to compare them side-by-side or build on previous findings. The Analysis Canvas is designed to solve this problem. Think of it as a large "desk" next to your conversation: you can move charts and results from the dialogue to this desk, spread them out for a holistic view, ask follow-up questions, and assemble them into a final deliverable. Specific use cases include:

  • In-depth follow-up: Select one or more charts to ask follow-up questions directly. This creates an uninterrupted workflow, eliminating the need to scroll back and forth through the conversation.

  • Clarify connections: When you ask a follow-up question based on a chart, the system automatically draws relationship lines between them. You can follow these lines to view the data lineage—see which question generated a chart, what subsequent analyses it led to, and click a chart to jump back to that turn in the conversation for the full context.

  • Free-form organization: Drag charts that you want to compare into the same area. Remove irrelevant items from the canvas, leaving only the content relevant to your analysis.

  • Combine results: Select multiple charts at once to combine them into a final deliverable.
