Smart Conversation Analysis is a core feature of Quick BI AIPro. It lets you describe your analysis needs in natural language, and the AI automatically queries data, performs calculations, and returns structured analysis results. This feature supports multi-turn conversations, work output, and one-click subscriptions. This topic describes how to use the conversation mode.
Prerequisites
You have activated and logged on to the Quick BI AIPro service.
You have at least the Basic Features permission for Quick BI AIPro.
You have at least one accessible data asset, such as a dataset, data table, or uploaded file.
Features
The main features of the conversation mode in Quick BI AIPro are as follows:
Natural language query: Ask questions in business language without writing SQL.
Structured output: Automatically generate tables, charts, and text-based conclusions.
Multi-turn conversation: Ask follow-up questions in the same conversation for deeper analysis.
Work output: Download, share, or save analyses to "My Analytics".
One-click subscription: Convert analysis results into scheduled push tasks.
Dashboard generation: Generate dashboards that support dynamic data updates, filter interactions, and drill-down analysis.
HTML report generation: Generate visually appealing analysis reports for complex, single-turn questions or for requests that require comprehensive analysis.
PPT presentation generation: Extract analysis ideas from file data to generate PPTX presentations.
Procedure
Access the feature
Log on to the Quick BI AIPro home page, or click Create Task in the navigation pane on the left.

Select data
Selecting data is optional. If you have relevant data assets, the system can automatically use the data assets related to your question during the conversation without manual selection.
Click the
icon in the lower-left corner of the dialog box to select your data asset.
You can also enter the at sign (@) in the dialog box to select a data asset.

To upload a local file for analysis, click Upload File.
You can set resident data.
When selecting data, you can click the
icon to the right of the data to set it as persistent data.
After you set persistent data, the current conversation prioritizes data within this scope. You can view the persistent data above the dialog box.

If you no longer need the persistent data, you can click the
icon on the right to clear persistent data.
You can also click the
icon to the right of the persistent data and select Cancel Persistence when selecting data.
Web search
Click the
icon in the lower-left corner of the dialog box to enable web search. After this feature is enabled, you can access the Internet using a URL to search for and analyze content.
Web search is available only in the public cloud environment and is not supported in on-premises deployments.

Select a skill
Click the
icon in the lower-left corner of the dialog box to select a skill.

You can also enter a forward slash (/) in the dialog box to select a skill.

To add a new skill, click Add Skill to go to the Skill Management page.
Select an MCP connector
Click the
icon in the lower-left corner of the dialog box to select an MCP connector.

Select a large language model
Select a Large Language Model (LLM) for inference and analysis.

Ask questions and get answers
AIPro uses intent recognition to automatically map the natural language entered in a conversation to downstream operations, such as data query, visualization, diagnosis, report generation, or scheduled task creation. The system returns different analysis results based on the question. For more information, see Get analysis results.
This section describes only the steps for asking questions and receiving answers.
In the input box, enter your analysis question in natural language. For example, "What is the month-over-month sales change for each region this month?".

Click the
icon to use speech input.NoteSpeech input is available only in the public cloud environment and is not supported in on-premises deployments.

Click the
icon for a real-time conversation.NoteReal-time conversation is available only in the public cloud environment and is not supported in on-premises deployments.

After entering the question, press Enter or click the Send button and wait for the AI to return the analysis results.
You can click Stop generation while the results are being generated.

Ask follow-up questions.
If needed, you can continue to ask related analysis questions in natural language in the input box. The system uses the context to provide consistent and accurate answers to help you explore the information you need.
View and manage results
Generate a data story from the analysis results.
Move the mouse over the analysis results and click the
icon to generate a data story.
After generation, you can click the result to view it.
Intelligently generate charts.
Move the mouse over the analysis results and click the
icon to generate a chart.
After the chart is generated, you can switch to a different chart type.

While viewing the data, you can also use the following features.

Click the
icon to select one or more conversations to share. You can share using a private link or a public link.Private link: Only logged-on users can view the content through this link.
Public link: Anyone can view the content through the link without logging on.

You can also click the
icon in the upper-right corner of the page to select one or more conversations to share.

Convert to document
Click Convert to Document. The system automatically triggers the corresponding instruction and generates a document. You can then edit, save as work, download, or view the analysis result in full screen. For specific operations, see Generate a document report.

View the data retrieval process to check if the results meet your needs.
NoteNot every conversation includes a data retrieval process. This information is displayed only when a data retrieval operation was actually performed to generate the result.

Copy the Trace ID to help after-sales support troubleshoot issues.

Click the Delete button to delete the conversation message, including the question and the reply.

Get analysis results
AIPro uses intent recognition to automatically map the natural language entered in a conversation to downstream operations, such as data query, visualization, diagnosis, report generation, or scheduled task creation. You do not need to manually switch to a specific feature page. The system returns different analysis results based on the question. The details are as follows:
Generate a document report
You can generate a document-style analysis result that is based on charts and explanatory text and supports highly flexible document editing.
Convert the analysis result to a document.

The system automatically triggers the corresponding instruction and generates the document.

You can edit, save as work, download, or view the analysis result in full screen.
Click the Edit button to go to the document editing page. You can perform the following operations.

Edit and modify the text content of the report. You can set text styles, such as headings, numbered lists, bold, and color.

Click the Referenced Resources icon on the toolbar to view the resources referenced in the current report.

Show or hide the title, rename the chart, and view in full screen.

After you save the document, the analysis result is saved as a report in My Analytics.

Generate visualization reports
Dashboards support dynamic updates, filtering, and interactive drill-down analysis. They are often used for scenarios that require regular data refreshes and collaborative data sharing within an organization.
During a conversation, the intent routing mechanism may not always accurately trigger the "dashboard" skill. You can either specify the "Generate Visual Analytics Report" skill or let the system automatically recognize the semantics and generate the appropriate dashboard.
Enter an instruction to generate a report.
For example, "Help me generate a dashboard with monthly sales trends." You can also enter "Generate a dashboard from the results above" based on existing analysis results.
The AI then generates a dashboard.

After the generation completes, you can perform the following operations.

Generate an HTML report
You can visually present the analysis conclusions. This feature is often used for one-time exploratory analysis and personalized report creation.
During a conversation, the intent routing mechanism may not always accurately trigger the skill to generate an HTML report. You can either specify the "Generate Visual Analytics Report" skill or let the system automatically recognize the semantics and generate the appropriate HTML report.
Enter an instruction to generate an HTML report.
For example, after a multi-turn conversation, enter: "Summarize the above analysis into a complete report."
The AI then summarizes the analysis results from the multi-turn conversation into an HTML visual analysis report.

After the report is generated, you can click the
icon in the upper-right corner of the report to download it to your local computer.You can click the
icon on the right to expand the report.
After you expand the report, you can perform the following operations.

You can modify and regenerate a new HTML report through conversation. This lets you flexibly change the theme color or adjust the content.

Generate a PPT presentation
You can generate a PPTX file based on the analysis results of a data asset. The file can be used directly for business presentations.
Enter an instruction to generate a PPT presentation.
For example, enter: "Generate a monthly report PPT based on this data."
The AI extracts analysis ideas from the file data and generates a presentation in PPTX format.
After the presentation is generated, you can click Download to obtain the PPTX file.

Generate a tracking task
After you obtain satisfactory analysis results, you can convert the current analysis into a scheduled push task.
Enter an instruction to create a subscription.
For example, enter: "Push this analysis result to me at 9 AM every day." The system automatically creates the subscription.

After the task is created, you can view and manage it in the My Subscriptions module.

Generate a skill
You can generate a reusable skill from the analysis process for future use.
Enter an instruction to generate a skill.
For example, enter: "Help me generate a skill from the analysis logic above." The system automatically creates the skill.

After the skill is generated, you can modify its name. After you click Confirm and Save, the skill is encapsulated and ready to be used. You can manage it in My Skills.

You can go to Canvas Mode to freely arrange and combine presentations.
