Use a dashboard to efficiently create many charts for visual analysis. This topic explains how to view chart data, configure chart features, and adjust the dashboard layout.
Entry points
Log on to the Quick BI console and use one of the following methods to create a dashboard.
Method 1: Create a dashboard from the resource entry point outside a workspace.

Method 2: Create a dashboard from the resource list within a workspace.
Method 3: Create a dashboard from the dashboard module within a workspace.
With the first three methods, no dataset is selected by default. On the edit page, click Add Chart and configure a dataset.

Method 4: Create a dashboard from the dataset list.
Method 5: Create a dashboard from the dataset edit page.
When you use Method 4 or 5 to create a dashboard from an existing dataset, its dimensions and measures automatically load into the data pane on the right. After you add a chart, you can drag these fields to the field area.

Adjust the dashboard layout
Hover over one of the four corners of a chart. When the pointer changes to a double-headed arrow, drag to resize the chart.
Hover over a chart. When the pointer changes to a hand shape, drag to adjust the chart's position.
If a dashboard contains a large amount of content, you can use the layout scaling feature to get a global view. This feature helps you quickly locate and adjust the chart layout, improving dashboard creation efficiency.
Spacing sets the gaps between cards. The options are Compact, Loose, and Custom. If you select Compact or Loose, the system automatically adjusts the spacing between cards. If you select Custom, you can manually adjust the Card-to-card spacing and the card inner margin.
Card-to-card spacing sets the space between each card. You can manually enter the row and column spacing.
Card inner margin sets the padding (top, bottom, left, and right) within each card. You can manually enter values to adjust it.
If the dashboard layout appears too sparse due to large margins, adjust the dashboard spacing and card inner margin to set appropriate margins. This improves dashboard creation efficiency.
Panel search
On the dashboard edit page, when you configure the Theme, chart styles, and advanced analytics, use Panel Search to quickly find a configuration item. This improves report building efficiency.
