Configure member tags

Updated at:

Organization administrators can configure member tags for users and associate them with fields in a tag table to streamline permission setup.

Use cases

Member tags associate users with specific tags in row-level permissions for datasets, enabling tag-based access control and fine-grained permission management.

Tag-based authorization suits organizations with many users who have diverse permission needs. You can create user-specific access policies for personalized permission management. For example, users can access data only from the regions they manage.

After you configure member tags, you can implement access control by binding a member tag table or manually managing a tag table. For details, see Tag-based authorization.
