As data in an ApsaraDB for RDS instance grows, so do storage costs. Data is typically categorized as hot and cold. Archiving cold data to OSS can significantly reduce your storage costs.
Overview
The data archiving feature lets you use Data Definition Language (DDL) to convert infrequently accessed online tables into archive tables. This process moves data from high-performance cloud disks to OSS, reducing storage costs.
