Standard monitoring
Log on to the ApsaraDB RDS console and go to the Instances page. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which the RDS instance resides. Then, find the RDS instance and click the instance ID.
-
In the left-side navigation pane, click Monitoring and Alerts.
-
On the Standard Monitoring page, you can perform the following operations:
-
Query monitoring metrics for a specific time range
Select a time range to view the corresponding metrics. You can query monitoring data from the past 30 days only.
At the top of the monitoring page, select a preset time range from the Quick Time drop-down list, or manually specify a start and end time.
-
Enable real-time mode
Click the
icon before the time selection box to enable real-time mode. In this mode, the system automatically refreshes the monitoring metrics every 5 seconds, showing you real-time performance changes in your database. -
Change the monitoring frequency
Set the Data Granularity to view metric trends at different granularities (5 seconds, 30 seconds, or 1 minute).
-
View metric descriptions
In the metric trend chart, click the
icon next to each monitoring item to view the descriptions of the included metrics. -
Switch nodes
For Cluster Edition instances of RDS for PostgreSQL, you can select different nodes to view, or select multiple nodes for comparison.
