When stack creation fails, you can resume it instead of starting over.
Prerequisites
Stack creation has failed with the rollback on failure option disabled. For more information, see Create a stack.
Procedure
-
Log in to the ROS console.
-
In the navigation pane on the left, click Stacks.
-
In the top navigation bar, select the region where you want to create the stack, such as China (Hangzhou).
-
On the Stacks page, find the target stack and click Continue to create in the Actions column.
-
In the Continue to create dialog box, select the appropriate mode for the failure reason, and then click OK.
-
Continue to create: If a failure is due to external factors (such as exceeded quotas, service unavailability, traffic throttling, insufficient inventory, or overdue payments), you can select Continue to create, and ROS will continue to create the stack.
-
Discard: If you do not need the resources that failed to be created or were not created, you can select Discard. This action ignores and discards all of these resources and directly marks the stack status as successful.
NoteThe Discard mode is available only for ROS-type stacks, not for Terraform-type stacks.
-
Advanced Options: If the template content or parameter settings are incorrect, you can select Advanced Options to update the template or parameter values as needed.
-
On the Select Resources page, select the resources that you want to clear and recreate, and then click Next.
NoteThis option is available only for ROS-type stacks, not for Terraform-type stacks.
-
On the Template Settings page, select Use Existing Template or Replace Current Template, and then click Next.
For details on replacing the template, see Select a template.
-
In the Configure Stack Settings section, set the Maximum Concurrent Resources and RAM Role, and then click Next.
-
On the Check and Confirm (Optional) page, review the template, parameters, RAM Role, and other settings, and then click Continue to create.
