This topic describes how to delete a stack in Resource Orchestration Service (ROS).
Prerequisites
-
Make sure that the stack you want to delete does not have an operation, such as a creation or update operation, in progress.
-
If you want to use a RAM user to delete a stack, make sure that the RAM user has the AliyunROSFullAccess permission. For more information, see Grant permissions to a RAM user.
Procedure
-
Log on to the ROS console.
-
In the left-side navigation pane, click Stacks.
-
In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region of the stack that you want to delete from the drop-down list. In this example, China (Hangzhou) is selected.
-
On the Stacks page, find the stack and click Actions in the Delete column.
-
In the Delete Stacks dialog box, specify the RAM Role parameter.
-
If you specify a RAM role, ROS uses the RAM role to delete the stack.
-
If you do not specify a RAM role, ROS uses the current account to delete the stack.
-
-
Specify the Method to Delete the Stack parameter. Valid values:
-
Retain Resources: retains stack resources when the stack is deleted. You must select resource items that you want to retain from the Resource Item drop-down list.
-
Release Resources: releases stack resources when the stack is deleted. Proceed with caution.
-
-
Click OK.
