You can update or delete stack instances in a stack group after the stack group is created.
Update stack instances

Log in to the Resource Orchestration Service console.

In the navigation pane on the left, click Stack Groups.

In the top navigation bar, select the region of the stack group.

In the Stack Groups list, click Stack Group Name.

In the upper-right corner of the stack group page, choose .

On the Set Deployment Options page, configure the self-managed permissions or service-managed permissions parameters.

On the Specify Override Settings page, select the parameters to override, change their values using one of the following methods, and then click Next.

Method 1: Choose to set the value.

Method 2: Choose to enter a new value.
NoteAfter the stack instances are created, you can view the overridden parameter values in the destination account (Account B). To view these values, go to the Stacks page, click the stack ID, and then view the values on the Parameter tab.

On the Check and Confirm page, click Override.
Delete a single stack instance
This procedure applies only to stack groups that use self-managed permissions.

Log in to the Resource Orchestration Service console.

In the navigation pane on the left, click Stack Groups.

In the top navigation bar, select the region of the stack group.

In the Stack Groups, click the Stack Group Name.

Click the Instance tab. For the stack instance you want to delete, click Remove.

In the dialog box, select a Method to Delete the Stack and click OK.

Retain Resources: Deletes the stack instance but retains its underlying resources.

Release Resources: Deletes the stack instance and its corresponding stack. Exercise caution when you select this option.

Delete multiple stack instances

Log in to the Resource Orchestration Service console.

In the navigation pane on the left, click Stack Groups.

In the top navigation bar, select the region of the stack group.

In the Stack Groups, click the Stack Group Name.

Select a deletion option for the stack instances and click OK.
