After you enable Resource Directory, enable trusted access to create stack groups with service-managed permissions by using a management account or delegated administrator account.

Background information

  • To create a stack group with service-managed permissions by using a management account, the management account administrator must enable trusted access.

  • To create a stack group with service-managed permissions by using a delegated administrator account, trusted access must be enabled for both the management account and the delegated administrator account.

Procedure

Note

You only need to enable trusted access when you create your first stack group with service-managed permissions.

  1. Use a management account or a delegated administrator account to log on to the Resource Orchestration Service console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, click Stack Groups.

  3. In the top navigation bar, select the region where you want to create a stack group from the region drop-down list.

  4. On the Stack Groups page, click Create Stack Group.

  5. On the Select Template page, select a template and then click Next.

  6. On the Configure Parameters page, enter the Stack Group Name and Stack Group Description, and then click Next.

  7. On the Configure Stack Group page, click Enable Trusted Access.

  8. Proceed to create the stack group.
