Understanding Alibaba Cloud RPA
This product has a client-server (C/S) architecture and consists of three main components: the robot, the editor, and the server side.
Editor: Automation developers use the editor to develop, debug, publish, and iterate on automation processes based on requirements from business stakeholders. The editor is a client application installed on Windows that supports both code-based Python development and low-code visual development.
Robot: Runs published automation processes. The robot is a client application installed on Windows. A robot can be triggered in multiple ways, including manually by business users, on a schedule, or via OpenAPI and MCP.
Server side (or console): Manages and orchestrates your RPA resources. Its management features include member management, robot and editor authorization, and automation process assignment. Its orchestration features let you integrate with your applications by using OpenAPI and MCP, and monitor task runs.
