FAQ
Does SAE support log rotation?
Yes. Add wildcard characters to the log file name to enable log rotation. Only the asterisk (
*) and question mark (?) are supported. No data appears in the SLS console. What should I do?
Simple Log Service retrieves data from the past 15 minutes by default. Use the webshell to verify that your application is generating logs:
If logs are generated, join the DingTalk group (group number: 32874633) to consult with product technical experts.
If no logs are generated, check your application settings.
For webshell instructions, see Use the webshell feature to check application health status.
If there is an issue with the pod, what should I do?
For detailed information, see How do I resolve common issues that are related to pods?.
Can I view logs if log collection is disabled?
Yes. Two options are available:
Webshell terminal: Log on to an instance directly and view logs in the container.
File transfer: Use the webshell's built-in upload/download feature or the Object Storage Service (OSS) command-line tool to transfer log files from the container, then download them locally. See Use the webshell feature to upload and download files and Use the webshell feature to check application health status.
