An application acceleration plan uses the high-quality network bandwidth of Alibaba Cloud to reduce network latency, jitter, and packet loss when accessing applications. After you connect your on-premises network to Alibaba Cloud through a Smart Access Gateway (SAG) instance, you can use an application acceleration plan for faster, more reliable access to applications outside the Chinese mainland.
Purchase application acceleration plan
Log on to the SAG console.
In the top navigation bar, select the region.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Application Acceleration Plan.

On the Application Acceleration Bandwidth Plan page, click Purchase Bandwidth Plan.

On the Application Acceleration Bandwidth Plan page, set the following parameters, click Buy Now, and complete the payment.

Region
Select the region where your users are located.
Plan type
Select the plan type. By default, Advanced Application Acceleration Plan is selected.
Maximum bandwidth
Specify the maximum bandwidth for the plan in Mbps.
Subscription Period
Select the subscription duration for the plan.
Plan name
Enter a name for the plan.
Upgrade application acceleration plan
Log on to the SAG console.
In the top navigation bar, select the region.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Application Acceleration Plan.
On the Application Acceleration Plan page, find the application acceleration plan and click Upgrade in the Actions column.

On the Change Specification page, set the Maximum bandwidth.
In the Terms of Service section, read and select Terms of Service, click Buy Now, and then complete the payment.
Before you upgrade an application acceleration plan, make sure that its Status is Effective.
Downgrade application acceleration plan
Log on to the SAG console.
In the top navigation bar, select the region.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Application Acceleration Plan.
On the Application Acceleration Plan page, find the application acceleration plan and click Downgrade in the Actions column.

On the Downgrade page, set the Maximum bandwidth.
In the Terms of Service section, read and select Terms of Service, click Buy Now, and then complete the payment.
Renew application acceleration plan
Log on to the SAG console.
In the top navigation bar, select the region.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Application Acceleration Plan.
On the Application Acceleration Plan page, find the application acceleration plan and click Renew in the Actions column.

On the Renew page, set the Subscription Period.
In the Terms of Service section, read and select Terms of Service, click Buy Now, and then complete the payment.
Before you renew an application acceleration plan, make sure that its Status is Effective.
