Use the SASE App settings to configure general features, adjust the network proxy mode, and troubleshoot service issues.

General settings

In the SASE App, go to Settings > General Settings.

  • Auto-start on boot: Starts the SASE App when your computer starts.

  • Auto-update: When enabled, the SASE App automatically updates to the latest version.

  • View current version: Displays the version number of the installed SASE security client in the About SASE section.

    • Check for updates: Click Check for updates to check for a new version. If an update is available, you are prompted to upgrade.

    • Uninstall: Click Uninstall to remove the SASE security client.

  • View user agreements: Click View to read the SASE service agreement and user privacy policy.

  • Switch language: Sets the display language. You can choose Chinese, English, or Follow system.

Network settings

In the SASE App, go to Settings > Network Settings to select a proxy mode.

  • Auto: Automatically selects a proxy mode based on your system information.

  • Redirection: Routes traffic from the system kernel by using system drivers. This mode is recommended for most use cases.

  • Routing: Routes traffic at the routing layer. Use this mode for compatibility with security software or for special environments, such as minimalist operating systems.

Important

The network settings feature is only available for the SASE app for Windows.

Toolbox

In the SASE App, go to Settings > Toolbox to access troubleshooting tools such as Restart SASE or Set Redirection DNS.

  • Restart SASE: If the SASE service is not responding, hover over the Restart SASE area and click Restart to restart the service.

  • Set Redirection DNS: Use this tool if you have problems connecting to the internet.

    1. Hover over the Set Redirection DNS area and click Set.

    2. In the Set Redirection DNS dialog box, configure the DNS settings and click OK.
