Smart Conversation Analysis custom policy reference

Updated at:

If system policies do not meet your requirements, you can create custom policies to achieve least privilege. Custom policies provide fine-grained permission control and are an effective way to improve resource access security. This topic describes custom policies and their related operations.

What are custom policies

In the Resource Access Management (RAM) access control system, custom policies are policies that you create, update, and delete to supplement system policies. You are responsible for maintaining the versions of your custom policies.

  • After you create a custom policy, you can attach it to a RAM user, user group, or RAM role. This grants the RAM identity the access permissions that are specified in the policy.

  • You can delete a custom policy. Before you delete a policy, make sure that it is not referenced. If the policy is referenced, you must find its reference records and revoke the authorization.

  • Custom policies support version control. You can manage the versions of your custom policies using the version control mechanism of RAM.
