A storage capacity unit (SCU) is a subscription resource plan for storage capacity that can be used to offset pay-as-you-go bills for various cloud storage products.
Offset factors
You can use an SCU to offset storage fees for multiple cloud products. The following table lists the offset factors for using an SCU to offset File Storage NAS storage fees in the Chinese mainland.

Offset order
Storage fees for File Storage NAS are offset in the following order: Storage plan > Resource plan > SCU > Pay-as-you-go
Offset example
For example, a user purchases a 500 GiB General-purpose NAS resource plan and a 100 GiB SCU in the China (Beijing) region in January 2021. During that month, the user's only usage in the China (Beijing) region is from a Capacity NAS file system with 600 GiB of hourly storage usage. The storage fee offset for the month is calculated as follows:

The 35 GiB is the SCU capacity required for the remaining 100 GiB of storage after the 500 GiB General-purpose NAS resource plan is applied. The calculation is: (600 GiB - 500 GiB) × 0.35 = 35 GiB |
