Set a maintenance window
To ensure the stability of your ApsaraDB for SelectDB instance, Alibaba Cloud periodically performs maintenance, such as instance upgrades and hardware maintenance. Set the maintenance window during off-peak hours to minimize any potential impact on your business.
Notes
Before maintenance begins, ApsaraDB for SelectDB sends SMS messages and emails to the contacts configured in your Alibaba Cloud account. Please check for these notifications.
On the day of maintenance, the instance status changes to Maintaining Read-only Instance during the maintenance window. When the instance is in the Maintaining Read-only Instance state, you can only view instance information. Operations such as cluster scaling, stop cluster, or delete cluster are unavailable. The upgrade takes approximately 10 minutes. After the upgrade task is complete, the instance status changes back to Running.
During the maintenance window, the instance may experience one or two brief connection interruptions. Ensure that your application has a reconnection mechanism.
Procedure
Log in to the ApsaraDB for SelectDB console.
In the top-left corner of the page, select the region where the target instance is located.
On the Instances page, click the target Instance ID to open the Instance Details page.
On the Instance Details page, in the Configuration Information section, click Modify next to O&M Time.
Select a maintenance window during your off-peak business hours and click OK.
