Launch a product
End users who have the required permissions granted by an administrator can launch a product in the Service Catalog console.
Prerequisites
- The end user must have management permissions for the Service Catalog console. For more information, see Grant permissions to an end user.

The end user is granted the product access and launch permissions by the administrator. For more information, see Grant the end user the permissions to access the product and Step 2: Create a launch constraint.
Procedure

Log on to the Service Catalog console as an end user.

In the left navigation pane, click Products.

On the Products page, find the product to launch and click Launch product in the Operation column.

On the Launch product page, configure the following parameters and then click Next.

Product instance name
The name of the product instance.
Enter a name or select Automatic generate to generate one automatically.

Product version
The version of the product.
NoteIf the product has multiple versions, select one based on the version recommendations.

Region
The region in which to deploy the product instance. The available regions depend on the administrator's configuration:

If the administrator does not specify region constraints, you can select from all regions that support the product instance. For more information, see Supported regions.

If the administrator specified region constraints, you can only select from the regions specified by the administrator. For more information, see Create a region constraint.

Manage tags
The tags attached to the product.
You can view tags attached by the administrator and attach custom tags. For more information about administrator-attached tags, see Overview of TagOptions.

Optional. Configure parameters for the product instance.
NoteYou must configure the parameters based on the Terraform template that is used to create the product.

Review the product, instance, and parameter information, and then click Launch product.
NoteIf an administrator configures an approval constraint for the product, you must create a plan. After the administrator approves the plan, you can launch the product. For more information, see Manage a plan.
Execution result
After you launch the product, a product instance is created and deployed in the specified region. A stack is also created in the same region in the Resource Orchestration Service (ROS) console.
You can then manage the product instance. For more information, see Manage a product instance.
