CoPaw is an open-source, self-hosted personal assistant built by the AgentScope team on AgentScope, AgentScope Runtime, and ReMe. It integrates multi-channel communication with large language models to create customized AI assistants with persistent memory and proactive task execution. Learn how to purchase a Simple Application Server with CoPaw pre-installed and complete the initial setup.

Important

CoPaw is an open-source AI assistant. Before you use it, fully assess its security and stability and strictly follow the license agreement to protect your system environment and data.

Billing

The CoPaw deployment on Simple Application Server incurs the following fees:

  • Simple Application Server fees: Billing overview of Simple Application Server.

  • Model call fees: By default, CoPaw calls models from Model Studio. These calls are billed in two main ways:

    • Coding Plan (Recommended): A fixed monthly subscription with a monthly request quota. Calls exceeding the quota fail without charge, preventing unexpected costs.

The Coding Plan currently supports models such as qwen3.5-plus, kimi-k2.5, MiniMax-M2.5, and glm-5.
    • Pay-as-you-go by token usage: By default, the qwen3.5-plus model is used for text and image processing.

      Important

Configure stop-on-exhaustion for your free quota: When you first activate Model Studio, you are automatically granted a free quota for various models. After the free quota is used up, billing switches to pay-as-you-go by default. We recommend that you enable the stop-on-exhaustion feature to avoid unexpected charges.

Step 1: Purchase the CoPaw package

Important

If you already have a Simple Application Server instance, skip this step and deploy CoPaw through the reset system feature — select the CoPaw image from the application images list. This erases all data on the system disk of the instance. Back up your data as needed. Reset system.

  1. Purchase a Simple Application Server with the CoPaw application pre-installed.

  2. On the Simple Application Server purchase page, resource settings are pre-filled. Adjust as needed:

    • Servers: Requires at least 2 GiB of memory. Switch to a different package if needed.

    • Region: The default is China (Beijing).

    • Purchase Settings: Defaults to 12 months. Change the duration if needed.

Step 2: Configure CoPaw

  1. In the Simple Application Server console, click the instance ID on the server card. Then, on the Server Overview page, click the Application Details tab.

  2. Under Configure CoPaw, click Setup to configure your Model Studio API key.

You can configure two types of Model Studio API keys:

    • Coding Plan-exclusive API key (Recommended): A fixed monthly subscription with a request quota. Calls exceeding the quota fail without charge, preventing unexpected costs.

    • A pay-as-you-go Model Studio API key, with billing based on token usage.

Choose System Recommended to select an API key from your Model Studio Coding Plan subscriptions, or Manual Input to enter a pay-as-you-go key or one from a different account. Click the button to switch to Manual Input, enter the Model Studio API key, and select its corresponding region.

    Important

When you manually configure an API key, ensure you select the correct region. An incorrect region will cause model calls to fail.

  3. Under Web UI Panel, click Secure Proxy Access to access the CoPaw Web UI, where you can chat with the CoPaw agent.

You must register an account on your first login.
    Important

If you see a "Sorry, the server is busy or the page is under maintenance" message, refresh the page and try again.
