The instance health diagnostics feature lets you perform a comprehensive diagnosis of a Simple Application Server instance. It checks the status of computing, network, and storage services, along with configuration management. This helps you understand the health of your instance and promptly identify and resolve common problems.
Prerequisites
The Simple Application Server instance must be in the Running state.
Scenarios
You can use the instance health diagnostics feature to check the health of your instance in the following scenarios:
-
Troubleshoot problems: If you encounter a problem during instance operations, such as an abnormal network session, you can perform a targeted diagnosis to find a solution.
-
Perform regular checks: During daily operations and maintenance (O&M), you can check the overall health of your instance. This lets you find and handle abnormal situations promptly to avoid affecting your business.
Procedure
-
Go to the Servers page in the Simple Application Server console.
-
Click the instance ID on the card of the target Simple Application Server instance.
Go to the Server Overview page.
-
Click the Self-service Diagnosis tab.
-
In the upper-left corner of the page, click Start Diagnosis.
-
In the Instance Self-service Troubleshooting dialog box, click Start Diagnosis.
The diagnosis takes a few minutes. When the Diagnostic Status changes from Diagnosing to Pass, the instance is healthy.

Only one diagnostic task can run on a Simple Application Server instance at a time. The interval between two consecutive diagnostic tasks must be more than 1 minute.

icon next to Diagnostic Status to filter the reports by status. The Diagnostic Status can be Passed, Diagnosing, Diagnosis Failed, or Diagnosis Abnormal.
-

You can use the diagnostic report to resolve the problems as follows:
-
For common problems, the instance health diagnostics feature provides descriptions and recommended solutions for each diagnostic item. You can use these recommendations to resolve the problems. For more information, see Diagnostic items and results.
-
If all diagnostic items in the report are normal but your instance is still experiencing a problem, click Submit Ticket. Provide the diagnostic results in the ticket to help us improve our instance diagnostics capabilities.
-
-
(Optional) If a diagnosis is abnormal or fails, resolve the problem. Then, in the Actions column of the target report, click Re-diagnose.
