This topic describes how to manually release an expired instance that you no longer need. You can also wait for the system to release it automatically.
Prerequisites

The instance is in the Expired state.

Back up your data before you release the instance.

Back up data to a local device
Use a transfer tool, such as FTP, to download your data to your local device.

Back up data to an ECS instance

Steps
Releasing an instance also permanently deletes its associated snapshots and custom images. The data cannot be recovered.

Go to the Servers page in the Simple Application Server console.

On the server card, select the checkbox
next to the instance name, and then click Release at the bottom of the card. -
In the dialog box, click Next.

Select I Acknowledge the Resources and Linked Instances to be Released and Understand the Related Data Risks., and then click OK.
