Impacts

The pay-by-specification option will no longer be available for new CLB instances.

Existing pay-by-LCU CLB instances cannot be converted to the pay-by-specification billing method.

Your existing pay-by-specification CLB instances are not affected. You can continue to use them with all associated rights and benefits for their entire service term.

When you purchase new Server Load Balancer instances, we recommend the following alternatives:

Pay-by-LCU CLB instances: This billing method offers flexibility and efficiency. You are billed for the Load Balancer Capacity Units (LCUs) that you use and can release instances at any time. For more information, see Pay-as-you-go.

Next-generation load balancers: ALB and NLB: Application Load Balancer (ALB) and Network Load Balancer (NLB) instances provide higher performance and auto-scaling capabilities. For more information, see ALB billing and NLB billing.
