Graphic Computing Service GCS session data
Alibaba Cloud Graphic Computing Service (GCS) and Simple Log Service provide a session shipping feature. This feature lets you ship GCS session data to Simple Log Service for storage, querying, and analysis. This topic describes the assets, fees, and limits of the GCS session feature.
Asset details
Dedicated Project and LogStore
After you enable session management, the system automatically creates a Project in the corresponding region. The Project is named
gcs-Alibaba-Cloud-account-ID-region-ID. A dedicated LogStore named gcs-log is also created.ImportantDo not delete the related Simple Log Service Project or LogStore before you disable session management. Otherwise, session logs cannot be pushed to Simple Log Service.
If you have enabled the pay-by-ingested-data billing method, the system creates a dedicated LogStore that uses the pay-by-ingested-data billing method by default. To switch to the pay-by-feature billing method, you can modify the LogStore configuration. For more information, see Modify LogStore configurations.

Billing details
Currently, GCS does not charge for the session feature.
If the LogStore uses the pay-by-feature billing method, Simple Log Service charges for storage space, read traffic, number of requests, data transformation, and data shipping after collecting GCS session data. For more information, see Billable items of the pay-by-feature billing method.
If the LogStore uses the pay-by-ingested-data billing method, Simple Log Service charges based on the amount of raw data ingested after collecting GCS session data. For more information, see Billable items of the pay-by-ingested-data billing method.
Limits
The dedicated LogStore does not support operations such as writing other data, modifying or deleting indexes, or modifying properties. However, there are no special limits on features such as query, statistics, and alerting.
