A migration task in Server Migration Center may stall at 69% and return the "Customer.SyncData.NotReport" error during a server or operating system migration. This error occurs because the migration source restarts to apply system upgrades, temporarily taking the client offline.
Problem
When you use Server Migration Center for a Linux operating system migration, the migration task may stall at 69% and return the "Customer.SyncData.NotReport" error.
Cause
During a Linux operating system migration, the migration source must restart to apply system upgrades. This restart temporarily takes the Server Migration Center client offline, which triggers the "Customer.SyncData.NotReport" error. The migration task resumes automatically after the migration source successfully restarts.
Solution
-
Log in to the ECS instance by using VNC in the ECS console to check its startup status. The initial restart on a Linux system updates software packages and can be time-consuming, typically taking about 20 minutes depending on the number of packages installed.
-
If the system fails to start after an extended period and the VNC window displays messages similar to the following, the restart may be stuck because an internal service failed to stop. In this case, restart the system from the ECS console.
