When you use Server Migration Center (SMC) to migrate a Linux operating system, the migration task fails with the "lvm2-cluster is installed" error. This error occurs because lvm2-cluster is installed on the source server. To resolve this issue, uninstall lvm2-cluster before the migration.
Problem description
When you migrate a Linux operating system by using SMC, the migration task fails with the "lvm2-cluster is installed" error.
Cause

Solution
-
Create a snapshot to back up data. For more information, see Create a snapshot for a disk.
-
Uninstall lvm2-cluster from the source server to be migrated.
After the operating system is migrated, reinstall lvm2-cluster if required.
-
After you resolve the network issue, run the SMC client to retry the operation. For more information, see Run the SMC client.
