Policy update: 'Launched app' signature source discontinued-Short Message Service(SMS)-阿里云帮助中心

To comply with the latest requirements from carriers, Alibaba Cloud Short Message Service will stop supporting 'launched app' as a signature source.

Policy background

Dear Alibaba Cloud Short Message Service customers:

To meet the latest compliance requirements from carriers, Alibaba Cloud Short Message Service is updating its rules for signature usage. This update ensures that all signatures adhere to the principles of authenticity, specificity, and uniqueness.

Signature source requirements

Signature source	Updated requirements
enterprise or public institution name	A signature must uniquely identify the verified enterprise. Therefore, ambiguous or simplified signatures are not permitted. The signature must clearly identify your enterprise. Note Example: If your company's full legal name is "Hangzhou XX Network Technology Co., Ltd.", you can use a signature like [Hangzhou XX Network Technology]. However, you cannot use overly broad signatures like [XX Technology] or abbreviations that omit characters, such as [Hang X Network].
registered trademark name	For nationally unique trademarks: If the trademark name is unambiguous, the signature must match the trademark name exactly. For trademarks that are not nationally unique: If multiple companies have registered the same trademark, the signature must include additional company information. The trademark registrant must match the signature applicant. You must upload a screenshot of the trademark details.
launched app	Effective immediately, you cannot apply for or use signatures based on the ICP filing of an app, website, or mini program.

Summary of changes

New signature restrictions: Effective immediately, when you apply for a new signature, you can no longer select 'launched app' as the signature source.
Recommendations for existing signatures: For existing 'launched app' signatures, we recommend that you:
- Closely monitor the SMS delivery rate for these signatures.
- For verification code SMS, enable the verification code failover solution.
- Apply as soon as possible for a new 'enterprise or public institution name' or 'registered trademark name' signature to replace your current one and ensure normal SMS delivery.
