SMS pricing outside the Chinese mainland
Short Message Service (SMS) offers two billing models: pay-as-you-go and subscription. Select the model that best suits your message volume.
SMS outside the Chinese mainland is charged on submission: you are charged for every message submitted via the API or by importing an Excel file in the console, regardless of delivery status.
Resource plans
To reduce your costs, the Alibaba Cloud China site offers resource plans for International Short Message Service.
The Short Message Service on the China site supports sending messages to destinations outside the Chinese mainland, including Hong Kong (China), Macao (China), and Taiwan (China), but not from outside the Chinese mainland to destinations within it.
These resource plans are not valid for the Short Message Service on the international site.
Alibaba Cloud reserves the right to adjust the prices of standard resource plans if costs from telecom carriers change. All price adjustments will be announced in advance.
When you purchase Short Message Service with a resource plan, the queries per second (QPS) limit is 30 for a single user (a single Alibaba Cloud account).
If you have an active resource plan, message usage is first deducted from the plan's quota. Messages sent before you purchase a plan, or after its quota is depleted, are billed on a pay-as-you-go basis. Charges are deducted from your account balance until service suspension due to overdue payments.
Resource plans are non-refundable after purchase.
Resource plans are invalid if your account has an overdue balance. You cannot unsubscribe or receive a refund for any unused quota.
The Alibaba Cloud China site offers various resource plans for Short Message Service. Choose the plan that best fits your needs:
Global Plus Resource Plan: Supports sending SMS to over 200 countries and regions. For a list of supported destinations, see the table below.
Global Resource Plan: Does not support sending SMS to the following countries or regions:

Pay-as-you-go
SMS is available over 200 countries and regions. With pay-as-you-go billing, the price per SMS varies by destination.
The QPS limit for the pay-as-you-go short message service is 2,000 per Alibaba Cloud account.

SenderID fee
SenderID is the sender identifier for international SMS. For certain countries or regions, in addition to standard SMS sending fees, a SenderID registration fee and/or monthly fee applies when sending messages with a dedicated SenderID.
