Add a card message template
A card message template defines the content of your message. Before you can send a card message, you must add a template and have it approved.
Prerequisites
An Alibaba Cloud account is created and real-name verification is performed.
You have activated Short Message Service.
Contact your account manager to enable card messages.
On the Digital SMS page, agree to the service agreement and click Activate Service.
Usage
You can use a template only after it is approved.
You can use templates to send messages only to numbers in the Chinese mainland.
Review the card message events supported by mobile device manufacturers. If your template includes an event that a manufacturer does not support, the platform will not submit the template to that provider for review.
Template content must comply with the card message template specifications.
Refer to the card message template examples for guidance when creating your own template.
Procedure
- Log on to the SMS console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose , and then click Add Template.
Configure the template.
Parameter
Description
Template Name
Enter a template name of up to 20 characters. The template name identifies the template for management and search purposes.
Associated Signature
Select an approved signature. This field is required.
Template content
Use the rich text editor to compose the template content. The editor supports the following operations:
Click Insert Image to upload images.
Insert videos and video covers.
Insert variable parameters.
NoteParameter names can contain only alphanumeric characters, must begin with a letter, and cannot exceed 10 characters.
Application Description
Enter the purpose and use case of the template to help reviewers understand how the template will be used.
As you edit the template content, the preview panel on the right side of the page displays a real-time preview of the card message. Verify that the preview looks correct before proceeding.
Verify that all required fields such as Template Name and Associated Signature are filled in, and then click Submit for Review.
After you submit the template, it enters the review process. The review statuses are as follows:
under review: The review is in progress.
approved: At least one provider has approved the template.
rejected: All providers rejected the template.
