The Extension Code Management feature lets you view, add, or modify mapping relationships between signatures and extension codes in the console.
Only users who have enabled support for multiple signatures per extension code can use the Extension Code Management feature.
View mapping relationships
Sign in to the Short Message Service console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Chinese Mainland Messages. On the Chinese Mainland Messages (Chinese Mainland Text Messages) page, click the Extension Code Management tab.
The table also includes the Successful Messages Sent in the Last Month and Modifiable columns. The Actions column contains the Edit and Delete options. On this page, you can search for records by signature name or extension code, and filter them by their modifiable status. You can also click Add to add an extension code or click Export to export records.
On the Extension Code Management tab, you can view information about all current extension codes and their corresponding signatures, including Data Source, Last Sent Time, and Editable Until.
Add mapping relationships
You can add a single relationship or add relationships in batches.
Add single
-
Click Add and select Add Single.
-
Enter or select an actual extension code. Then select or enter a signature.
Note-
The actual extension code cannot be the same as any existing extension code in the list.
-
The actual extension code must be numeric and cannot exceed 12 digits.
-
The Signature length cannot exceed 80 characters, and it cannot end with
【,】,[, or].
-
-
Click OK.
Batch add
-
Click Add and select Batch Add.
-
Click Download Template and fill in the extension code and signature information in the template. Make sure the template file format is correct and the extension codes have the correct number of digits. You can also export unbound extension codes, fill in the signature information, and then upload the file.
Note-
An actual extension code can be mapped to only one signature, but a signature can be mapped to multiple actual extension codes.

Click Upload File, select the completed file, and then click OK. If the uploaded file name is the same as an existing one, the existing record is not overwritten.
After you upload the file, you can view upload details in Batch Upload Records. For more information, see View upload records.
-
After you create a signature-extension code mapping, send an SMS message using the corresponding extension code to bind the mapping relationship. If you skip this step, the system automatically assigns an extension code in subsequent SMS operations.
-
If adding a mapping relationship fails, see Error messages to troubleshoot the issue.
Edit mapping relationships
You can edit the signature/extension code mapping if the last message was sent more than 3 months ago or before the first message is successfully sent.
-
Find the mapping relationship that you want to edit and click Edit in the Actions column.
-
Enter an actual extension code, and select or enter a signature.
-
Click OK.
Delete mapping relationships
-
Delete a single relationship: Find the mapping relationship that you want to delete, click Delete in the Actions column, and then click OK to confirm.
-
Delete multiple relationships: Select the checkboxes next to the mapping relationships that you want to delete, click Delete at the bottom of the list, and then click OK to confirm.
After you delete a mapping relationship, if the original configuration was one signature to one code, the system automatically assigns a new extension code. If the configuration was one signature to multiple codes, the system assigns the most recently used extension code for that signature.
View upload records
On the Extension Code Management tab, select Batch Upload Records to view the file name, upload result, and upload time for your uploaded files.
On this page, you can filter records by File Name and Upload Result. The upload result can be Succeeded, Failed, or Partially Succeeded.
Download: You can download a file containing the failed items to your local computer. The file includes information such as the upload result and error reason.
Export data
You can click the Export button in the upper-right corner of the Extension Code Management page to export data for either bound or unbound extension codes.
In the Export dialog box, in addition to selecting the Extension Code Binding Status, you can also filter the data to be exported by Signature Name, Extension Code, and Modifiable. After you configure the settings, click OK.
After the data export completes, you can click Export Records on the Extension Code Management page to view the export result. When the export status changes to Succeeded, you can download and view the file.
