You can use the Mass SMS Assistant to quickly send international SMS. This topic describes how to send SMS in bulk by creating a sending task.
Prerequisites
You have completed Alibaba Cloud account registration and real-name verification, and activated Short Message Service.
Sending SMS is billable. Before you proceed, ensure that your account has a sufficient balance. You can also purchase a Short Message Service resource plan.
By default, no suspension threshold is set for international SMS. You must configure a threshold based on your usage to prevent financial losses from potential abuse. For more information, see verification code anti-abuse.
Use the International/Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan SMS page in the Short Message Service console to complete the configuration. Send messages using the International/Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan API (see API overview). If you use a legacy version of the console and API, upgrade to the current version as soon as possible.
Procedure
Log on to the Short Message Service console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose International SMS > Message Delivery > Broadcast.
Click Create Campaign.
Follow the on-screen instructions to configure the task.

Scenario Type
Select a scenario type.
Task Name
Maximum length: 30 characters.
Sender ID
A Sender ID can contain only letters and digits. The maximum length is 11 characters for alphanumeric IDs and 15 characters for numeric-only IDs. We recommend that you use the real name of your application, website, or company. For more information, see Register a Sender ID.
Message Content
You can include variables in the message content, which must use the
${name}format.Example: Your verification code is
${code}. This code is valid for 5 minutes. Do not share it with others.Recipient Numbers
You can choose Import Data or Manual Input (Variables Unsupported):
Import Data
Click Download Sample and enter recipient numbers according to the template.
Click Import Mobile Phone Numbers to import the recipient number file.
Manual Input (Variables Unsupported): Enter the recipient mobile numbers.
NoteIf the message content contains variables, you must use the Import Data option.
The Manual Input (Variables Unsupported) option supports up to 100 mobile numbers. For more than 100 recipients, we recommend importing the numbers from a file.
Scheduled Sending
Enable Schedule Campaign to set the delivery time zone, date, and time.
NoteTo cancel a scheduled task, go to the Quick Send tab and click Cancel at least 5 minutes before the scheduled sending time.
If you have configured Scheduled Sending, click Submit Campaign. If you have not configured Scheduled Sending, click Submit Campaign.
Next steps
After creating the task, go to the Mass Messaging page and click View Details to view basic task information, Result, and Mobile Phone Number details.
The basic information on the task details page includes fields such as Scenario Type, Number of Numbers, and Number of Billable Messages. The statistics section shows the count of messages for each status: Sent, Failed, or Other. The table below shows the Receipt Time and Reason for Failure for each message.
