Send bulk messages

When you need to send bulk messages with the same content, the group message assistant lets you quickly send verification codes, notifications, and promotional messages.

Prerequisites

Usage

  • The group message assistant provides a visual interface for sending messages, making it ideal for beginners and non-developers.

  • The group message assistant automatically validates phone numbers, alerts you to invalid entries, and removes duplicates. The deduplication rules are as follows:

    • If a message template includes a variable, messages sent to the same phone number with different variable values are not considered duplicates.

    • If a message template does not include a variable, messages sent to the same phone number are considered duplicates and are removed.

  • Approval of a message template does not guarantee successful delivery. Content for certain industries, such as medical marketing, is blocked during the sending process and cannot be sent using the group message assistant. If a task fails, check the failure reason on the task details page, adjust your message content, and create a new sending task.

Procedure

Domestic messages

  1. Log on to the Short Message Service console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Domestic Messages > Group Message Assistant > Add Sending Task.

  3. Configure the task parameters.

    Scheduled sending

Enable Scheduled Sending to send the messages at a specific date and time.

    • For domestic messages, you can schedule sending only between 08:00:00 and 21:59:59 each day.

  4. Click Submit.

The system typically processes tasks within 10 minutes of submission.

Export sending records

After a task is created, you can go to the group message assistant page and click Details in the Actions column. On the details page, you can view the Basic Information, Sending Result, and Recipient Number Details for the task. You can also export the recipient number details.

Generate an export task

  1. In the Recipient Numbers Details section of the current task, click the Export button.

The Apply for Export History dialog box appears, indicating that you can export sending data from the last 60 days. In the Sending Result section, select the statuses that you want to export (Sending, Failed, and Successful), and then click OK.

  2. In the Request to Export Records dialog box, select the statuses to export, such as Sending, Failed, or Successful.

  3. Click OK to generate an export task. In the Export Records dialog box, you can perform operations such as Download.

    Note
    • The system generates the export file using the latest message sending details.

    • It takes time to process a sending task. Do not export the results immediately after the task is submitted.

    • You can export sending data from the last 60 days. After an export task is generated, you cannot create another export task within 5 minutes to reduce the risk of abuse.
