Manage SMS signatures
This topic describes how to manage your signatures on the Signature Management page in the console and view the review history for modified signatures.
Manage signatures
In the Short Message Service console, go to the page to view all signatures for your account. You can determine the availability of a signature based on its Signature State. To view change details and review history for new and modified signatures, go to the Review Records tab. The Review Records page displays the signature name, change type, ticket ID, signature source, associated qualifications, review status, submission time, and last update time. You can use the ticket ID to track the review progress. This feature is available for signatures in all statuses.
Signature status
The carrier filing status indicates the outcome of your signature's real-name filing with carriers. Before you send SMS messages, we recommend that you monitor the carrier filing status and keep it at "Filing Successful" to ensure successful delivery.
Alibaba Cloud determines the signature status based on a comprehensive assessment of factors including the review status, carrier filing status, and message sending activity. We recommend that you monitor the signature status and maintain its status as Available-Normal to prevent message delivery failures.

Signature status |
Description |
|
|
The signature is approved and poses no identifiable risks associated with its real-name information, filing result, or sending history. The signature is ready for use. |
|
|
The signature has been approved, but the platform has identified potential risks that may affect its current or future use. These risks can be related to the signature itself, its real-name information, filing result, or sending history. You can hover over Available-Exception to view details about the issue and suggested actions. |
|
|
The signature is unusable because it was previously rejected, disabled, or frozen. Consequently, related operations and permissions are restricted.
If a signature is not used to send any messages for 180 days, the platform automatically freezes it, and its status changes to Unavailable. To prevent a signature from being frozen, you can send a test message from the Quick Start & Delivery Test page in the console to keep it active. If a signature is already frozen, you can click Unfreeze in the Actions column or submit an update by clicking Edit Signature. The signature is automatically unfrozen after the update is approved. |
What is the logic behind the "Available - Normal" and "Available - Abnormal" statuses?

Guidance for compliance adjustments by editing signature source type
If your signature's source type is no longer supported due to carrier compliance policies (for example, the original source was "Launched App/Website/Mini Program"), you can take the following actions:
-
If the signature name itself meets the requirements for a "full enterprise name/abbreviated enterprise name" or a "registered trademark name", you can use Edit Signature to change the source type accordingly. Upload the required supporting documents, such as a trademark registration certificate or business license, and resubmit for review. After approval, you can resume using the signature.
-
If the signature name does not meet the preceding requirements, you must apply for a new, compliant signature by using the Add Signature feature.

Delete Signature |
- |
Deleting a signature on the Signature Management tab does not require a review. An operational record is generated on the Review and Change History tab. This action cannot be undone. Proceed with caution. |
Export
Both the Signature Management tab and the Review and Change History tab allow you to export signature data to a local file. Click Export to submit an export request. After the request is successful, click Export Records to download the file.
-
Currently, you can only export all data from the list. The carrier filing status is split into three separate fields in the exported file.
-
You can export data up to three times per day, with a maximum of 10,000 records per export.
-
You can export a maximum of 10,000 signatures at a time. A feature to delete all unavailable signatures in a single operation is not available.
-
If you need to delete signatures by using an API, the DeleteSmsSign operation does not support batch deletion. You must call the operation for each signature individually.
-
If a user with individual verification deletes a signature, their signature creation quota is not immediately restored. To use the quota immediately, you must upgrade to enterprise verification.
