Review standards
Refer to the following review standards when you submit qualifications and request signatures or templates. If your request is rejected, you can view the reason and suggestions for modification. After you make the required changes, you can resubmit the request. For information about common rejection reasons and suggestions, see Suggestions for handling review failures.
Category | Description | Review standard |
SMS qualification | To control the sending of illegal and non-compliant text messages and meet the carrier's requirements for identity-verified sending, you must provide the qualification certificate information of the signature owner before requesting a signature for Domestic SMS. | |
SMS signature | An SMS signature is an identifier for the sender. When you request an SMS signature, you must comply with the SMS signature specifications. Specifying the signature source and providing a scenario link can help you pass the signature review quickly. | Letter of Authorization specifications (required for third-party signatures) |
SMS template | An SMS template is the content of the text message that the recipient receives. It includes variables and template content. When you request an SMS template, comply with the corresponding content and variable specifications. |
Review time
Review duration: The number of qualification review tickets is increasing because of identity verification requirements for SMS signatures. This may extend the review time. The review is expected to be completed within two business days. The review of SMS signatures and templates is typically completed within 2 hours of submission. For requests related to government and enterprise entities, the review is usually completed within two business days. The review time may be extended during upgrade verifications, periods of high review volume, or if requests are submitted outside of business hours.
Review business hours: 9:00 to 21:00, Monday to Sunday (excluding public holidays).

Account freeze rules
Alibaba Cloud Short Message Service reviews the qualifications, signatures, and templates that you submit. The service also uses system monitoring to prevent content that violates national laws and regulations from being sent in text messages.
If non-compliant message content is found, the user's account will be frozen. A security deposit may be deducted, or the user may be held liable, depending on the situation. After an account is frozen, you can no longer use Short Message Service and cannot reapply to activate it. Any unused service resource packages, coupons, or other resources in the account also become unavailable.
