Use Short Message Service on the Alibaba Cloud app
You can use the Alibaba Cloud app on mobile devices, such as iOS and Android, to log on to the Short Message Service (SMS) console and manage configurations. This topic describes how to perform common operations on the mobile app, such as monitoring SMS data, purchasing subscription resource plans, viewing sending statistics, and configuring security and sending frequency settings.
Prerequisites
The Alibaba Cloud app is installed on your mobile device and you are logged on. For more information, see Log on to an account on the Alibaba Cloud app.
The SMS features on the Alibaba Cloud app focus on business statistics. This guide is intended for users who have already used SMS in the console or by calling an API. For more information, see Quick starts.

Logon portal
Use the search box
Open the Alibaba Cloud app and select the Console tab.
In the search box at the top, enter Short Message Service.
From the search results, select the Short Message Service console.
Use the product list
Open the Alibaba Cloud app and select the Console tab.
At the top of the page, select More Consoles to go to the All Consoles page.
On the All Consoles page, select the Enterprise Services & Cloud Communication tab. In the product list, click Short Message Service.
NoteIf Short Message Service is not on the Enterprise Services & Cloud Communication tab, find it in My Console or search for it on the home page.
Data overview
The Alibaba Cloud app lets you query data and check the running status of your SMS business on your mobile device anytime and anywhere.
Select Overview. In the section below, you can view the following metrics:
Alert information
Resource plan remaining quota
Sending data
Resource plan fees
On the Resource plan fees tab, view the remaining quota of your resource plans and set an alert threshold. When the total remaining quota of a resource plan reaches the alert threshold you set, the system sends a message to the app and the contact's mobile phone number.
When a resource plan is nearly depleted and a computer is not available, you can conveniently purchase a new plan using your mobile phone.
Sending statistics
You can view SMS sending data on a monthly or daily basis. The statistics include the total number of messages sent, the number of successful and failed messages, and the success rate.
You can estimate your SMS sending volume based on your business needs and configure daily and monthly alert thresholds and limits for the total sending volume to prevent issues. When the sending volume reaches the alert threshold, the system sends an alert message. When the volume reaches the limit, the system pauses SMS sending. This feature is not supported for digital messages.
The trend chart for SMS sending data shows how the number of sent messages changes over a period of time. You can specify a custom time period.
The default daily sending alert threshold is 10,000 messages and the default daily sending limit is 15,000 messages.
The trend chart supports three time range dimensions: Last Month, This Month, and Custom.
The chart metrics include Total Sent, Sent Successfully, Send Failed, and Sent Without Receipt.
In the threshold configuration section, click Modify Configuration to adjust daily or monthly alert thresholds and limits.
Security and sending frequency settings
You can configure an abuse threshold for verification codes to enable abuse prevention monitoring and protect the security of your SMS account.
You can configure the maximum number of text messages that can be sent per minute, per hour, and per day to limit the sending frequency and ensure normal SMS operations.
The page contains the following configuration items:
Verification Code Abuse Prevention Monitoring: When enabled, monitoring is triggered when verification code SMS sending volume exceeds 50 per hour (on the hour). Alert thresholds are triggered when the verification code success rate in the current hour falls below 80% or when the verification code growth rate in the current hour exceeds 100% compared to the same period the previous day. Click Modify Configuration to adjust thresholds.
Verification Code SMS Sending Frequency: Limits the sending frequency for the same signature and phone number. SMS sending frequency includes two configuration types:
Verification Code SMS Sending Frequency: For the same signature and phone number, the default limits are 1 message per minute, 5 messages per hour, and 10 messages per calendar day. Click Modify Configuration to adjust.
Notification and Promotional SMS Sending Frequency: For the same content and phone number, you can configure separate per-minute and per-hour sending limits.
