Notification features are free for official certificates, but uploaded certificates require a paid notification quota. This topic covers the billing details and steps to purchase notification resources.
Notification policies
The following table shows which notification features are available for free and which require a purchase, depending on your certificate type.

Billing
Billing is based on the notification quota you purchase and the package you select. Packages are the only available purchase option.

Purchase notification resources
Log on to the Certificate Management Service console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Certificate and Domain Application Services > Notification.
On the Notification page, click Purchase below Unused Notification Quota.custom notification purchase page
On the Certificate Value-added Service purchase page, configure the following parameters, click Buy Now, and complete the payment.Notification
Parameter Description Service type Defaults to Customized message reminder. Method of purchase Only Purchase by package is supported. Package This parameter is available only when you set Specification Type to Certificate Instance Purchase.
The notification quota to purchase. Larger packages have a lower unit price per notification policy.Notification quota
This parameter is available only when you set Specification Type to Certificate Instance Purchase.
The notification quota is the maximum number of certificates for which you can concurrently enable custom notifications. For example, if you purchase a quota of 1, you can set up custom notifications for only one certificate. To enable notifications for more certificates, you must purchase a larger quota.
Time Defaults to one year. The subscription duration is tied to the validity period of the associated certificate and cannot exceed one year.
Expiration
The notification feature remains active for as long as the associated certificate is valid. When the certificate expires, the notification feature is automatically disabled.
