A Digital Employee (Agent) is an autonomous O&M entity in STAROps that you configure with default rules, Skills, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) services to handle intelligent operations tasks. You can create, configure, and manage Digital Employees to build specialized O&M assistants.

Overview

Each Digital Employee acts as a specialized O&M assistant that can analyze monitoring data, diagnose faults, execute inspection plans, and interact with external systems through MCP services.

You can customize a Digital Employee by:

  • Defining default rules to shape its behavior, analysis logic, and output format.

  • Adding Skills to encapsulate reusable workflows and domain knowledge.

  • Connecting MCP services to grant access to databases, APIs, and cloud resources.

  • Assigning a Resource Access Management (RAM) role for secure access to Alibaba Cloud services.
