Cost optimization-Expenses and Costs-阿里云帮助中心

The Cost Optimization feature provides suggestions to help you optimize your costs.

Log on to Expenses and Costs, and go to the Cost Optimization page under Cost Management. You can use the cost optimization tools to optimize your cloud resource instances and reduce costs.

Cost health score

You can view your overall cost health score, the number of optimizable items, and the estimated savings:

Cost health score calculation rules

Total Cost Health Score = 100 - Points deducted for each optimization item. The minimum score is 60.

Savings plan purchase optimization	Calculate the estimated savings ratio: Estimated Savings Ratio = Estimated Savings / Total Amount Payable for the previous calendar month Points are deducted based on the value of the estimated savings ratio: Less than 0.1%: 0 points deducted 0.1% to 1% (inclusive): 1 point deducted 1% to 2% (inclusive): 2 points deducted 2% to 3% (inclusive): 3 points deducted ... More than 30%: 30 points deducted
Billing method optimization for Internet traffic - CDT	Same as above
Resource optimization - ECS (This feature is in beta. Contact your service manager to enable it.)	1. Total number of instances: Billing method: Includes pay-as-you-go and subscription instances. Spot instances are excluded. Filter scope: The scope includes 4th-generation and later dedicated CPU instances that can be optimized. You can view the detailed scope on the Cost Management - Cost Optimization - Resource Optimization-ECS page in Expenses And Costs. 2. Calculate the optimizable instance percentage: Optimizable Instance Percentage = Number of Optimizable Instances / Total Number of Instances 3. Percentage of optimizable instances: More than 50%: 20 points deducted. 40% to 50%: 15 points deducted. 30% to 40%: 11 points deducted. 20% to 30%: 8 points deducted. 10% to 20%: 5 points deducted. 5% to 10%: 2 points deducted. Less than 5%: 1 point deducted.

The cost health score is updated daily at 8:00 AM. This update includes all optimization items for the day. If an item's data is updated after 8:00 AM, it is included in the score calculation for the following day.

You can view the list of optimization suggestions below. Click the collapse button to expand or collapse the list:

The list shows information such as the estimated savings for each suggestion. You can click a suggestion to go to its details page.

Cost Optimization consists of multiple tools, each designed for different scenarios.
The optimization suggestions are simulations based on historical bill data, product features, and discounts. They are for reference only and may differ from actual future results. Validate these suggestions against your business needs before you implement them. They do not constitute a business commitment or a basis for bill reconciliation.
