Manage stored value cards
What is a stored value card?
A stored value card is a prepaid payment method offered by Alibaba Cloud. The cards are available in denominations that are multiples of CNY 100, with a minimum value of CNY 100. You can use stored value cards to purchase or renew Alibaba Cloud products. The cards support both subscription and pay-as-you-go billing methods.

Stored value cards can be used for most products on the Alibaba Cloud website.

Stored value cards cannot be used for Alibaba Cloud Marketplace or Alibaba Cloud Communication products.
Purchase a stored value card
To purchase a stored value card, contact your account manager to obtain a purchase link.
View stored value cards

On the page, click the Stored Value Card tab to view your stored value cards.

In the Actions column, click Usage Details to view the usage records for the stored value card.
Rules for using stored value cards

Stored value cards must be used before they expire. Any balance that remains after a payment is kept on the card. You can use this balance for future orders as long as the card is valid. The card and any remaining balance become void after the expiration date.

If you have multiple stored value cards, you can choose which one to use for subscription orders. For pay-as-you-go bills, automatic deductions prioritize the card that will expire first.

No cancellations: Stored value cards cannot be canceled after purchase.

No transfers: Stored value cards cannot be transferred to other accounts after purchase.

No cash redemption: Stored value cards cannot be redeemed for cash.

Cannot be used for settled pay-as-you-go bills: Stored value cards cannot be used to pay for previously settled pay-as-you-go bills. If your account has an overdue payment, add funds to your Alibaba Cloud account to cover the bill.

Notes on purchasing or renewing cloud products:

Stored value cards are linked to the purchasing account and can only be used to pay for orders from that account.

Only one stored value card can be used per order.

If you have an active stored value card, you can choose whether to use it for subscription orders. For pay-as-you-go bills, the stored value card is automatically used for payment. The offset order is: coupons, stored value cards, and then the account balance.

Stored value cards can be used for auto-renewals. The offset order is: coupons, stored value cards, and then your account balance.

FAQ
Can I request a contract for a stored value card purchase?
You can request a contract for both unpaid and paid orders for stored value cards. For more information, see How to request a contract.
How do I get an invoice for a stored value card?
After you purchase and pay for a stored value card, you can request an invoice. The invoice is issued for the actual amount paid.
When you use a stored value card to purchase Alibaba Cloud products, no invoice is issued for the portion paid with the card.
If I get a refund for an order paid with a stored value card, where does the money go?
If a refund is issued for an order paid with a stored value card, the funds are returned to your account balance.
