This topic describes how to create a service instance, bind or unbind real numbers, and manage configurations.
Create a service instance
-
Log on to the Voice Service console.
-
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
-
On the service instance management page, click create instance.
A qualification can only be used to create instances for a single purpose and scenario. Mixed use is not allowed. You must specify the qualification, instance purpose, instance scenario, and instance name. The name prefix is automatically displayed in the "Purpose-Scenario" format and is limited to 10 characters.
-
Click Create to complete the process.
Bind real numbers
-
Log on to the Voice Service console.
-
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
-
On the service instance management page, find the instance you want to manage and click bind real number in the Actions column.
NoteYou can bind a maximum of 200 real numbers to a service instance at a time. To bind more than 200, perform the operation in batches.
A dialog box appears stating that you can only bind numbers that share the same purpose and scenario. In the Bind Real Number area, select manual import or batch import. If you select manual import, enter the numbers to bind in the input box, separated by line breaks.
-
Click OK.
Unbind real numbers
-
Log on to the Voice Service console.
-
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
-
On the service instance management page, find the instance you want to manage and click unbind real number in the Actions column.
In the dialog box that appears, select manual import or batch import, enter the numbers you want to unbind (up to 200, separated by line breaks), and then click OK.
Unbinding real numbers may affect your services. Evaluate the potential impact before you proceed.
Configuration management
-
Log on to the Voice Service console.
-
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
-
On the service instance management page, find the instance you want to manage and click configuration management in the Actions column.
-
In the Configuration management dialog box, you can manage settings such as Enable retry, instance rule matching, and Set fallback city. You must enable instance rule matching before you can set a fallback city.
After you enable instance rule matching, the default system policy is as follows: 1. Prioritize numbers from the same province and city. 2. Prioritize numbers from the capital city of the same province. The system applies these rules in order.
-
Click OK.
Call invocation
When you make a call, enter the service instance ID as the calling number. The service instance then applies its dispatch configuration to select a real number for the call.
Connection rate report
Overview
-
You can use the connection rate analysis feature to view the concurrency and connection rate of a service instance. You can then add or change numbers to improve the connection rate.
-
If concurrency is insufficient, add more numbers. If the connection rate is low, identify and replace the real numbers with poor connection rates.
Procedure
On the service instance management page, find the target instance and click connection rate report in the Actions column.
Number change analysis
Overview
Based on the connection rate analysis feature, you can filter for and replace real numbers that have low connection rates. After you change a number, the new number is activated and automatically bound to the service instance. The original real number is automatically deregistered, which helps you avoid unnecessary monthly fees. The original number is not deregistered until the new number is activated.
Procedure
-
On the service instance management page, click connection rate analysis in the Actions column to view the connection rate of bound real numbers. Alternatively, on the virtual number management page, select the target service instance and go to the connection rate tab. On this page, you can filter data by time granularity (1 minute, 5 minutes, hour, or day) and by time range. The table displays the Number of calls, Ringing rate, Connection rate, Activation time, and Activated for less than 3 months status for each bound real number. In the Actions column, click change number to replace a single number. In the lower-left corner, click batch change numbers to replace multiple numbers at once.
Important-
Number change analysis: First, examine the overall connection rate of the service instance. Then, analyze the connection rates of the individual real numbers within that instance.
-
Recommended filtering logic: Prioritize replacing numbers that have a high number of calls and a high ringing rate but a low connection rate.
-
Not recommended:
-
Avoid frequently changing numbers. Changing numbers that have been active for less than three months or have a low call volume provides little value.
-
Avoid changing a large batch of numbers at once, as this may trigger security mechanisms and restrict number activation.
-
-
-
Click change number in the Actions column to replace a number.
To replace multiple numbers at once, select the numbers you want to change and click batch change numbers.
NoteYou can modify the adjustment method, DTMF key, and order closure timeout. Other parameters cannot be changed.
-
After the number change is successful, the new number is immediately bound to the service instance, and the system automatically deregisters the old one.
To cancel a number change, click Cancel in the Actions column.
