What types of numbers does Voice Service offer?
Voice Service offers three types of numbers: standard numbers, , and numbers that start with 400.
Can individual or enterprise users purchase numbers that start with 400 or 95?
Currently, only major customers approved by product operations can purchase these numbers. Regular online customers cannot purchase numbers that start with 400 or 95.
Can individual or enterprise users request dedicated numbers?

Why can I request only 10 numbers in the console?
You can request a maximum of 10 numbers in the same region under the same enterprise qualification.
How do I get a voice number to use with voice products?
Alibaba Cloud Voice Service provides dedicated numbers for a monthly fee. These numbers are for your exclusive use. To purchase one, log on to the Voice Service console and navigate to the Real Number Application page.
Why can't I purchase standard numbers?
Due to stricter industry policies and carrier regulations, the supply of dedicated number resources is currently insufficient. If you use voice notifications or voice CAPTCHAs, you can use the Public mode feature. The Public outbound mode does not require a dedicated number.
Why does my number purchase order time out in the console?
Your number purchase order may time out because there are no available resources in the requested region. You can try again later or select the option to accept a number from any region in China when you submit your request.
Why is my number request still pending?
Your request may be pending because a matching resource has not been found. To increase the success rate, you can go to the Inquiry page in the console and select the option to accept a number from any region in China.
Log on to the Voice Service console. On the page, click Inquiry. Select your desired region for the query. The query results show which numbers are available.
Why did my Voice Service number activation fail?
Number activation may fail because there are no available number resources in the selected region. If you do not have a strict requirement for the region, you can select the option to accept a number from any region in China to increase the success rate.
The Number Resource Platform requests resources from carriers at irregular intervals. Because the platform is subject to carrier management requirements, it cannot guarantee coverage for all regions.
Do purchased dedicated numbers support calling landlines?
Due to carrier-side restrictions, if you want to call landlines, you must add a note during the number application process that states, "The requested number must support calling landlines."
Can I migrate a number from my current account to another account?
No, you cannot. Voice Service does not support migrating numbers between accounts. To use a Voice Service number in another account, you must log on to that account and request a new number resource.
When making a call, can I display a caller ID number that I purchased from another provider?
No, you cannot. You must purchase and use a number from the Voice Service console.
Can the caller ID display my company or product name?

The service does not currently support displaying additional text, such as a company or product name. If you require this feature, please monitor future product updates.
How do I release a voice number?
After purchasing a voice number, you can release it on the Real Number Management page in the Voice Service console. After you release the number, you will still be charged the monthly fee for the current month. You will not be charged for subsequent months.
Why can't I release a number immediately after requesting it?
The minimum usage period for a number is three months from the time of request. After this period, you can release the number on the Real Number Management page in the Voice Service console.
Can a released number be reactivated?
No, it cannot. A released number cannot be reactivated. You must request a new number instead.
What is the maximum concurrency for a number?
Numbers from the public pool and numbers purchased in dedicated mode both have a maximum concurrency. If you exceed the maximum concurrency for a single number, calls will fail. Make sure to stay within the concurrency limits.
Public mode: Outbound calls are made from a random number in a public pool. The specific concurrency rules are not fixed.
Dedicated mode: The concurrency depends on the number type. The maximum concurrency is 3 for mobile phone numbers and 15 for landline numbers. Concurrency is configured by the carrier and may vary. The concurrency that is displayed on the Real Number Management page in the console prevails.
For API operations, the queries per second (QPS) limit for the SingleCallByVoice API operation is 1,200 calls per second per user. The QPS limit for the SingleCallByTts API operation is 1,000 calls per second per user.
What does the "call frequency limit reached" message mean?
For the same qualification and number purpose, the frequency at which a caller can dial a specific recipient is limited to 1 time per minute, 5 times per hour, and 20 times per 24 hours. The throttling timer starts from the first successful outbound call. If you exceed these limits, throttling is triggered. Both successful and failed calls count toward the frequency limit.
Can I call extension numbers?
Voice Service does not support dialing extension numbers at this time.
Why does the call hang up immediately after connecting?
Log on to the Voice Service console and check the call record on the page. If you cannot find a record, provide the caller number, recipient number, and time of the call to customer service for verification.
Can I call multiple phone numbers at the same time?
You can call only one recipient at a time, but you can make multiple calls.
To call multiple recipients, you can call the SingleCallByTts API operation multiple times or use the CreateCallTask API operation to specify multiple recipients in a single request.
Can the numbers be called back?
Yes, they can. The numbers support a callback (inbound call) feature. However, you must have an agent or a call center to configure it. If you already have an agent system or a call center, you can contact customer service to configure the callback feature.
Can I use my own number?
Currently, Voice Service does not support the use of your own numbers.
What should I do if there is no response after a call connects to a mobile phone?
You can check whether the mobile phone has any call-blocking settings or is in an area with no signal. After you confirm, you can try again.
What is the call latency for voice numbers?
Voice calls need to traverse different carrier networks. The transmission takes time, and a connection is typically established in 3 to 5 seconds.
Why can't I call numbers that start with 199?
Voice Service does not restrict outbound calls to special number segments, except for critical public service numbers such as 110, 120, and 119. The call is likely blocked by the carrier, or the caller ID is blocked. You can try calling a different recipient or ask the recipient to contact their carrier to see if the restriction can be lifted.
What do I do if I cannot select a number when creating a task?
In the Voice Service console, you can create tasks only in service instances. First, log on to the Voice Service console and go to the Service Instances > Instance Management page to request and bind a service instances.
What does the 'user busy' message mean for an outbound voice call?
The 'user busy' message indicates that the call was placed successfully from the caller's side. However, the recipient did not receive the call. This may be because the recipient's device hung up or blocked the call, or the recipient's carrier blocked the call.
Do two-legged calls support inbound calls?
Inbound calls are not supported.
A two-legged call works as follows: You request a dedicated number A from Voice Service. Number A calls recipient B. Then, number A calls recipient C. Finally, B and C are connected in a call.
What should I do if there is no audio on an outbound voice call?
If you experience poor audio quality or no audio on isolated calls, it may be due to fluctuations in the recipient's network or signal, a temporary issue with the recipient's device, or fluctuations in the caller's network. You can try again later.
What should I do if an outbound voice call is stuttering?
You can check if the stuttering occurs frequently, for example, in a specific region or during a specific time period. If the issue is sporadic and affects only a few recipients, it may be caused by network fluctuations or signal issues on the recipient's side. You can try again later.
Why does the Voice Service console show 'invalid user number' for an outbound call?
If an outbound call is successful but the recipient does not receive it and the status shows 'invalid user number', it usually means that there is an issue with the recipient's number. If the recipient's number is active, the 'invalid user number' status could be caused by blocking on the recipient's end or by the recipient's carrier. For the specific reason, you can contact the recipient or their carrier for verification.
What should I do if my Voice Service number is flagged as spam?
All spam flags on numbers are manually added by users through third-party software. Alibaba Cloud cannot intervene in this process. If your number is displayed as a spam call on the recipient's mobile phone, you can request a new dedicated number for your outbound calls. New numbers are brand new and do not have any spam flags.
After you perform outbound call tasks, there is a chance that your number may be flagged as spam.
Is it possible to play a voice prompt before dialing out when requesting a voice number?
No, outbound calls don't support this yet. Carrier-mandated voice prompts are currently only available for inbound calls.
