View the usage details of your resource packages to identify potential waste, choose suitable packages for your business needs, and reduce costs.
Usage notes

An ApsaraVideo VOD data transfer plan deducts acceleration traffic only if you have configured an accelerated domain name and your acceleration service uses the pay-by-traffic metering method.

An ApsaraVideo VOD data transfer plan for the Chinese mainland acceleration region can deduct both acceleration traffic and, at a certain ratio, outbound storage traffic. For more information about deductions, see ApsaraVideo VOD data transfer plan.

If you have not configured an accelerated domain name, playing or downloading videos generates outbound storage traffic. An ApsaraVideo VOD data transfer plan cannot deduct this traffic (except for plans with the acceleration region set to Chinese mainland).
Procedure

Log on to the ApsaraVideo VOD console.

Review your active ApsaraVideo VOD resource packages.
On the Overview page of the ApsaraVideo VOD console, the resource package section on the right lists your active resource packages and their usage.

View detailed information about your purchased ApsaraVideo VOD resource packages, such as the remaining amount, effective time, and expiration time.
On the Overview page, click Manage in the resource package section on the right to open the resource package management page.
ApsaraVideo VOD storage packages are fixed-quota packages that allocate a specific amount of capacity at the beginning of each hour. Because remaining capacity cannot be tracked in this model, the remaining amount appears as -. The resource package management page has the Valid Resource Packages and Invalid Resource Packages tabs, which display the instance ID, name, total amount, remaining amount, Effective At, and Expiration Time for each package.

View detailed usage statistics for your resource packages, including deduction times and amounts.
On the Overview page, click Use details in the resource package section on the right to open the Resource Instance Management page in Expenses and Costs.
NoteYou can query only resource instances that are currently active or that expired less than one year ago.

On the Instance Summary tab, you can set Product Name to ApsaraVideo VOD, or filter by other conditions, such as effective time and status, to find your resource packages.

On the Use details tab, you can find a resource package and view its usage by entering its instance ID in the instance name search box.

FAQ
Why do used storage and package balance differ?
ApsaraVideo VOD storage packages are fixed-quota packages. A fixed amount is allocated at the start of each billing cycle (every hour). Any amount not used within a billing cycle expires, and a new amount is allocated for the next cycle.

On the Overview page of the ApsaraVideo VOD console, the resource package section in the lower-right corner might show that the total remaining amount of a storage package is 500 GB. This means the package can deduct up to 500 GB of storage usage. As long as your total storage in ApsaraVideo VOD stays within 500 GB during the package's validity period, you will incur no extra storage fees.

On the Overview page, the resource usage section shows that the currently used storage space is 261.37 GB. This value is the total size of all your media assets, such as audio, video, and images, stored in ApsaraVideo VOD.

To confirm that your storage resource package is being used for deductions, click Use details in the resource package section on the right of the Overview page. On the Use details tab of the Resource Instance Management page, search for the resource package using its instance ID to view its deduction details.
