Create policies in ApsaraVideo VOD to automatically change the storage class or delete audio and video files in batches.

Important
  1. Storage and deletion policies apply only to media assets in the ApsaraVideo VOD bucket. You can configure up to five policies per type, for a total of ten.

  2. Policies run daily from 00:00 to 24:00 (UTC+8) based on upload time. Each policy processes up to 50,000 media assets per day. Excess assets carry over to the next day.

  3. If a media asset matches multiple policies, only the highest-priority policy runs.

Create a media asset policy

  1. Log on to the ApsaraVideo VOD console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Configuration Management > Media Management > Policy Management.

  3. On the Policy Management tab, click Create Policy and configure the parameters.

  4. Storage class change

    Note
    1. If the tiered storage of a media asset does not meet the minimum storage duration requirement, the storage class change policy is not executed. Limitations on minimum storage duration.
