Background
The Alibaba Cloud WAF hybrid cloud solution (Hybrid Cloud WAF) provides unified web application protection for workloads deployed in various environments, including Alibaba Cloud, on-premises data centers, and third-party clouds. It extends protection to workloads that cannot migrate to the cloud, creating an integrated, elastic, and efficient security system that unifies your on-premises and on-cloud resources.
Hybrid Cloud WAF extends Alibaba Cloud WAF protection capabilities to your on-premises IDCs. A unified cloud console provides centralized management of protection rules, security operations, services, and system upgrades.
Hybrid Cloud WAF supports both cluster and standalone node deployment modes. Operating as a reverse proxy, it inspects all incoming requests for security threats and load balances backend servers. The cluster deployment mode ensures high performance and high availability for your services through multi-node redundancy and elastic scaling.

Before you use a Hybrid Cloud WAF instance, contact your Alibaba Cloud sales representative. If you do not have their contact information, see Contact us.
In the WAF 3.0 console, deploy an on-premises Hybrid Cloud WAF cluster. For more information, see Deploy a WAF hybrid cloud cluster.
In the WAF 3.0 console, add your website to the hybrid cloud cluster and configure its protection. For more information, see Add a website.
